Who we are

The Al.Ma. Catering group has specialised in the provision of catering, hotel and logistical support services for over 70 years, with a focus on the shipbuilding industry and shipyards in the oil & gas and infrastructure sectors. The group's roots go back to the dawn of the 20th century when Plinio Guidoni started working as a ship's purveyor in the port of Genoa. In 1946, Plinio's son Giacomo Guidoni and Cesare Cavalleroni founded Provvedinavi with the intention of better structuring the service in light of the increase in port traffic resulting from the post-war reconstruction effort. In 1955, the company was reorganised and further expanded, taking on the current name of the parent company, Al.Ma. Alimentari Marittimi which, under their leadership and that of subsequent generations, has grown and developed over the years into the solid, modern international group it is today. Over the years, the group has become the strategic partner of important international companies. Today we take care of more than 9000 people by preparing more than 25000 meals daily and provide hotel services through the help of more than 2000 employees.
